Account Deletion Policy
Last updated May 31, 2026
Tarosyn LLC ("Tarosyn," "we," "us," or "our") respects your right to control your personal data. This Account Deletion Policy explains how to request deletion of your Tarosyn account, what happens to your data, what records we may retain and why, and the timeline you can expect.
1. how to delete your account
You can permanently delete your Tarosyn account at any time from within the app. No need to email us or contact support — deletion is fully self-service.
Steps to delete your account:
Open Tarosyn and go to Settings (tap your profile icon, then Settings). Scroll to the bottom of the page to the Delete Account section. Tap Delete my account. Read the confirmation dialog carefully — it lists what will be removed. Type DELETE in the confirmation box to confirm you understand this is irreversible. Tap Burn it all to proceed.
Deletion takes effect immediately. You will be signed out of all devices and browsers simultaneously. Once confirmed, the action cannot be undone.
If you are unable to access your account and need deletion assistance, contact us at [email protected].
2. what is permanently deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently and immediately purged from our systems:
Your profile, username, display name, bio, and profile picture. All tarot readings, daily cards, and reading card records. Your private journal entries and notes. All direct messages (DMs) and conversation history. Chants, chant comments, and all social content you posted. Push notification tokens and device registrations. Your social graph — connections, witnesses, circles, and follows. Uploaded photos, Living Cards, Identity Cards, and other media files stored in Tarosyn's object storage (best-effort deletion; orphaned blobs may remain up to 30 days). Pathway map progress, step counts, and direction history. Angel memory records and mystic persona preferences. Notification history and unread-message reminders. Luna credit balance and purchase history.
All sessions across every device are invalidated immediately upon deletion, so anyone holding a session cookie (including other browsers or native app instances) is treated as signed out on their next request.
3. what may be retained and why
We retain a small amount of information after deletion for legitimate legal and operational reasons:
Minimal anonymized identifier — An anonymous record (account ID and the email address used at signup, hashed or pseudonymized) is kept to prevent abuse on re-registration and to support the Guardian Angel assignment system. This record is not visible to other users and cannot be used to identify you. Transaction and payment records — Records related to Stripe payments, Luna credit purchases, or subscription billing may be retained for up to 7 years as required by applicable tax and financial reporting laws. These records are retained in Stripe's systems and in our accounting records, not linked to any active user profile. Moderation and safety logs — If your account was the subject of a user report or moderation action, we may retain a minimal record of that action (no content, only the action type and outcome) for safety and legal compliance purposes. Legal hold — If Tarosyn is required by law, court order, or legitimate law enforcement request to preserve specific data related to your account, we will comply for the duration of that legal obligation. We will inform you to the extent legally permitted.
4. retention timelines
The following timelines apply after you submit a deletion request:
Immediate (within minutes)
Profile, readings, journal, messages, social content, push tokens, social graph, and all active sessions.
Up to 30 days
Orphaned media blobs (photos, uploaded files) in object storage that were not reachable at deletion time. Best-effort cleanup runs automatically.
Up to 7 years
Financial and tax records associated with transactions (required by law). These are held in billing systems and are not tied to your Tarosyn profile.
Indefinitely (anonymized only)
The minimal hashed identifier used to prevent re-registration abuse and support the Guardian Angel system. No personal data is readable from this record.
5. subscriptions and billing
Deleting your Tarosyn account does not automatically cancel your subscription billing. You must cancel your subscription separately depending on where you subscribed:
Apple App Store: Cancel through Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iOS device, or via reportaproblem.apple.com. Google Play: Cancel through Google Play → Subscriptions on your Android device or via play.google.com. Web / Stripe: Cancel through Settings → Subscription in the app before deleting your account, or contact us at [email protected] for billing assistance.
If you do not cancel your subscription before deleting your account, your payment provider may continue to charge you until you cancel directly with them. Tarosyn cannot issue refunds for charges that occurred after account deletion.
6. native app (ios and android)
The account deletion flow described in Section 1 is fully available in both the iOS and Android native apps, in addition to the web app. This satisfies Apple App Store guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play's account deletion requirements.
After deletion, the native app will redirect you to the sign-in screen. No further data is stored locally beyond what your device OS caches — clear the app or reinstall to remove any remaining local cache.
7. questions and deletion requests
If you have any questions about account deletion, or if you need assistance deleting your account without app access, please contact us:
Email: [email protected] Subject line: Account Deletion Request Include the email address associated with your account. We will respond within 5 business days.
This policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
